The New Delta Project is one of the giant agricultural projects in Egypt to reclaim new lands in the Western Desert near the northwestern coast. Its total area, distributed over several projects, ranges between 2.2 and 2.8 million acres, adding 15% of new cultivated area to Egypt, which is used to achieve food security.
